Mr Anthony St. ClairVice Chairman
Anthony St. Clair is an internal audit practitioner with over 30 years experience in the accounting / auditing field. He is currently the Chief Internal Auditor at one of the Caribbean’s leading indigenous banks. Under his guidance First Citizens Bank has implemented a Quality Assurance Improvement Programme (QAIP) consistent with the requirements of the Institute of Internal Auditor’s (IIA’s) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), and has been subject to two External Quality Assurance Reviews. Both of which were assessed as “Generally Conforms” the highest rating available. The team is currently preparing for their third five (5) year Independent External Quality Assessment.
Anthony is an FCCA, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT). He also has a certificate in Quality Assurance from the Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
Anthony is the current Chairman of the Caribbean Association of Audit Committee Members (CAACM), a position he has held for the last three terms, a past governor, president, and treasurer of the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter of the IIA, and a former member of the Finance Committee of ICATT. He is also a Quality Assurance volunteer with the IIA, and has been a member of a quality assurance review team for one of its clients.
Anthony is an avid sports fan, a now passive follower of West Indies cricket, and is a member and past treasurer of the Chaguaramas Golf Club. Golf is his current form of exercise and he is currently aiming to get his batting records converted to proud golfing scores.
