This Committee is charged with the responsibility for setting guidelines and best practices for the functioning of audit committees.

This committee encourages corporate entities in the wider CARICOM region to join and become active members of CAACM.

Financial and Audit committees

This committee raises the awareness of the importance of audit committees and enhancing the image of members in relevant forums

Training and Technical

This Committee is charged with the responsibility of developing and delivering training for members, providing a forum to discuss technical issues

Standards & Ethics   (David Walters)

The Standards & Ethics Committee is charged with the responsibility for setting guidelines and best practices for the functioning of audit committees.

The committee is charged with the development of codes of conduct for members. It will also facilitate discussions on ethical and independence issues.


Membership & Public Relations  (Dalton Lee)

The Membership & Public Relations Committee is charged with the responsibility of

  • encouraging corporate entities in the wider CARICOM region to join and become active members of CAACM; and
  • establishing relationships with business organizations, regulators, accounting and legal professionals to promote the Association and its mission.
  • raising the awareness of the importance of audit committees and enhancing the image of members in relevant forums.


Training & Technical  (Anthony St. Clair)

The Training and Technical Committee is charged with the responsibility of developing and delivering training for members, providing a forum to discuss technical issues and monitoring the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) requirements of members. This committee is also responsible for representing the Association on technical review panels.

This committee has a broad mandate to execute the Association’s education programme, with responsibility for:

  • Sourcing suitably qualified trainers to deliver the education programme
  • Developing the curriculum for the education programme
  • Distributing technical alerts on relevant subject matters
  • Organizing lectures, tutorials and web-cast sessions to discuss technical issues
  • Providing feedback on technical issues raised by members
